
Jaime Arroyo, born in 1985, is a student of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering at the ETSETB. (Polytechnic University of Catalonia UPC) and Sonology at the ESMuC (Superior Music School of Catalonia). In 2008, he is moving to Helsinki (Finland) within the Erasmus framework to do his Master Thesis at the Laboratory of Space Technology (Helsinki University of Technology) with Sampsa Koponen.
He began his studies of piano and solfegin in Music School of Esparreguera at nine years old where recieved piano lessons of Olga Aurin, Alba Comellas, Ingrid Ustrell and the ACC member Lola Pérez. After two years in the CMMB (Conservatory of Music of Barcelona) where he improved his knowledge in harmony and counterpoint with the catalan composers Vicenç Acuña and Xavier Boliart and advanced in his piano mastery with the balear concert performer Ramon Coll, he obtained a place to continue his musical estudies at the ESMuC where has recieved classes about diferents topics from teachers as Bernat Vivancos, Thomas Noll, Luca Chiantore, Pere Casulleras, Albert Guinovart with others.
He has been awarded with a scholarcship twice, (2007 and 2008) by the Foundation Lola Lizaran, to support him in his studies at the ESMUC.
After singing in the parish choir of Sant Esteve Sesrovires, on 2002, he began to study classical chant as baritone soloist with Alícia Prieto in Esparraguera. This has allowed him to perform different characters in operas such as "Il Matrimonio Segretto" of Cimarosa, "La Serva Padrona" of Pergolesi or "l'Elisir d'Amore" of Donizetti at different theathers like the "Teatre de la Passió d'Esparreguera".
He has contributed as pianist and singer, with pieces of Bach, Clementi, Schumann, Liszt and Rachmaninoff in Classical Archives. More recently, he has recorded some of his performancers and has published them in youtube.
Furthermore, he has given classes as piano teacher.
Finally, his usually teacher, and loved friend, Carolina Rius, has been determinant. Carolina, honor mentioned disciple of Carles Julià (CMMM), Stanislav Pochekin (Conversatory of Liceu, Barcelona) and Arthur Schoonderwoerd (EsMUC) and piano teacher of premiated pianist as Nuria Roura (37th Concurs Joves intèrprets de Catalunya), helps and supports him to improve his madurity not only as artist even as person and pushes him to continue growing in all the fields of his life.
